Introducing the 2016-17 Varsity Debate Team

After two days of intense tryouts, Whitman’s inaugural Varsity Debate Team has been announced. Congratulations to those who made it and thank you to everyone who tried out. Below are the names of Whitman’s first-ever Varsity Debate Team:

Debate President Epi Ramirez believes that this year’s varsity team represents “the best debaters Whitman has to offer.” Former-Secretary Rachel Vaughan “can’t wait to see how far” the team goes and she has the “utmost confidence that our prestigious team will go places and have fun doing so.” Joanne Nguyen, Debate Treasurer, is confident that this year’s team “will add to the long list” of championship teams that can be found at Whitman.
