TV Shows To Not Forego

Who doesn’t watch TV? Whether you’re a devout follower of all things television or merely watching it out of boredom, finding a show that sucks you in is never a bad thing. Your TV “show”lmate (get it, like soulmate) is the one love that will never reject you and will still keep you coming back for more after the brief affair is over. However, with all these possible obsessions vying for your attention, choosing the right one would be a distressing situation for anyone. However, there is no need to fret because luckily for you, I did the research (you’re welcome).

Do you find yourself yearning for a show that will satisfy your inner psychopath but still have you laughing days after? Well, your prayers have been answered with the new horror comedy Scream Queens on FOX. It contains a killer cast including Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Nick Jonas and more, and an enthralling plot with an allure that no one could resist. With talent like that for you to bask in whenever you so choose, it comes as no surprise that you’ll be counting down the days until Scream Queens airs again. The show is about how a death during sorority pledge week for Kappa Kappa Theta at Wallace University in 1995 has come back to haunt the current members (and pledges) who might be either on the hit list or possibly creating it. Scream Queens will have you peeing your pants without knowing whether it was from fear or laughter. Don’t let the weeks pass by or you’ll be left behind since the first three episodes have come out already with no signs of stopping. At the bare minimum, don’t forget to set your DVR to record the show. Scream Queen airs Tuesdays at 9 PM on Fox.

Maybe serial killers don’t strike your fancy, but will heroes do the trick? Do you love a show where instead of waiting for the inevitable death of a character, you’re secure in the knowledge the person will be saved? Were The Flash, Arrow and Heroes all shows that you eagerly anticipated and re-watched over and over again? If any (or all) of these categories apply to you, then the show you should be waiting for is Supergirl on CBS. The tagline “It’s not a bird. It’s not a plane. It’s not a man. It’s Supergirl,” pretty much sums up how great this show will be. The program is about Kara Zor-El (a.k.a. Superman’s cousin) who, after being exiled from Krypton when she was 12 and actively tried to conceal her powers, exposed them during a crisis and decides that being a hero is the lifestyle for her. It will most certainly be a superior series, so don’t get left behind and catch the season premiere on Monday, October 26 at 8:30 PM. With Supergirl’s guidance and prolific words, you’ll have no fear of Doomsday or anything of the like.

Despite how wonderful horror, comedy and adventure series are, not everyone is necessarily captivated by them. One genre that will never fail to get the blood pumping is thrillers, and that coincidentally is what the upcoming series Blindspot categorizes itself as. In this myster-ama-ller (that’s mystery, drama, and thriller combined, if you didn’t know), Jane Doe, played Jaimie Alexander, appears suddenly in Times Square with mysterious tattoos on her body and no recollection as to how she got there. Her tattoos hold the key to revealing the existence of a conspiracy or crime, bringing about the involvement of the FBI. Don’t just blindly believe what I’m telling you—check out the premiere on Monday, September 21st at 10:00 PM on NBC.

Whether you find a friend to cuddle up with or not, have yourself a gay ole time with these enjoyable shows. Scream Queens, Supergirl and Blindspot are a winning combination of shows that will sublimate a previous procrastinator into a useful member of society. Now with this newfound knowledge, you can divert your attention to more pressing matters until it comes time to blow off some steam with these exhilarating up-and-coming shows.
