The New Einstein
12-year-old girl with an IQ higher than Einstein’s
12-year-old Nicole Barr in England scored higher on an IQ test than famous scientists, Einstein and Hawking without any preparation. Barr attends Burnt Mill Academy and wants to become a doctor. She reported to USA Today that the rigorous examination was much easier than she expected. “At first I was really nervous, but once I started, it was much easier than I expected it to be,” Barr told The Guardian.
Two of the most eminent scientists in history both scored a 160 on the exam while this preteen scored a 162. “When I found out I got a high score, it was so unexpected, I was shocked,” Barr told the Western Daily Press. Barr’s parents told USA Today that Nicole is very hardworking, committed and enjoys schoolwork, unlike most students her age. While Nicole was surprised of her great achievement, her parents anticipated she would do an outstanding job.
Sources state that Barr read all of the Harry Potter books multiple times, and seeks to find mistakes in almost everything she reads. She aims to change the world with her outstanding intellectual achievement.
According to CBS, Nicole’s IQ score put her within the top one percent of the population. Technically, an IQ score of 161 is the maximum for adults, so a score of 162 for children is quite rare. Will Nicole Darr become the next “Young Einstein”?
