ARK: Survival Evolved
ARK: Survival Evolved is a multi/single-player game where you spawn on the coast and must survive through dangerous dinosaurs, droughts and starvation. There is not too much of a backstory to this game—for now, all that is known is that you awake on the coast freezing and naked on a mysterious island. To survive you must hunt, build shelter, gather berries and harvest crops you have grown.
Other than these basic necessities, the core of this game is taming various animals. Taming can be used to transport materials, engage in combat and many other activities. However, taming something isn’t a simple matter. You have to use cunning and resources to do so. When taming, there are many factors to consider, such as protection to prevent attacks while unconscious (unless you can just feed it while awake like the ichthyosaurus), the materials (berries, meat, kibble etc.), as well as getting the dinosaurs unconscious to begin with. Other important features of this game include crafting and the leveling system, where when you level up, you increase a certain ability and get engram points. These points are used to unlock blueprints that you can craft into weapons, harvesting tools, saddles, etc.
ARK: Survival Evolved, was released June 2, 2015, as an early access game by Studio Wildcard and has 38,851 reviews on Steam, 73 percent of which are positive. Most of the negative reviews are of map glitches that happened right after the game was released, and have been fixed. This is a game worth getting, and many will agree.
