The Biebs Has Found His Purpose
Your “beliebing” must have paid off, as Justin Bieber has just announced the release date of his newest album, Purpose. If the iTunes app crashes or your teenage daughter refuses to turn down her speaker’s volume on November 13, Bieber’s the one to blame (or thank). The majority of fans are aware of Bieber’s downward spiral last year, shortly after he was arrested on suspicion for DUI and drag racing. Good news for Beliebers–Justin’s new album is an attempt to get back up on his feet and, once again, show the side of him that has captivated the hearts of teenage (and even older) girls around the world.
Justin has given quite nebulous details on his music so far, but he did give a bit of insight in a new interview at Wango Tango where he performed his first onstage solo in months.
“Overall, I’m just happy with the place I’m at creatively. I feel like this is probably the best I’ve been. There’s not really a direction. It’s like, uplifting music that people can dance to…it’s a little different, it’s really uplifting, and people are going to smile when they listen to it,” said the singer.
Bieber explained that from now on he will be “using [his] voice in [his] music rather than out here in the world.”
His first single entitled “Sorry” has already been released along with its dance video on Youtube. The song was co-written and produced by Skrillex and Blood Diamonds, among others, and it has the same calming feel that allowed “What Do You Mean?” to soar to the top and grab the #1 spot on the Billboard charts a few weeks ago. Hence the name, this song is just one of the many apologies Bieber has conveyed to heal the wounds that he imposed on himself, his image, and the hearts of many fans. After Bieber’s “Sorry” is accepted, who knows, maybe his next track on the album will be “Thank You” as tribute to his dedicated fans.
