Did Quarantine Make You Read?
It is no secret that most people do not read, especially teenagers. Many teenagers would much rather spend time watching Netflix or playing video games. Did quarantine change this? Did teens get so bored that they finally picked up a book? Usually, people say that they do not have enough time to read and that it is boring. But did that change during a time when people had nothing but time? From a few anonymous sources, we saw that most teens did not start reading and that instead, they mostly were baking, cooking, and watching Netflix. However, there were some who did say that they read during their time in quarantine. Teens typically associate reading with school and having to do work, which is a major part of the reason why they choose to not do it in their free time.
Typically, more adults like to read when compared to kids and teens, as they have the time to sit and read a book. To them, it does not feel as if it relates to school and work that they need to get done. Even though there are whole other worlds inside of books, teens do not yet get to experience them; however, eventually, they may, just as many adults who probably did not read as a teen now find adventure and fun in books.
